About

The vision and mission

of our nonprofit

Vision statement

To restore hope, strengthen families, empower single parents, and raise confident, purpose-driven children through Christian faith, mentorship, education, personal development, and economic empowerment.

Mission statement

To provide a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment where single parents and their children can experience healing, discover their God-given potential, develop life-changing skills, achieve financial stability, and build a foundation for generational success.

We believe, as scripture quotes in our foundation, that:

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

— Psalm 147:3

Single Parents Peace Castle embraces the message: Restoring Hope. Rebuilding Lives. Empowering Generations.

Shade Akinjaiyeju

WOMAN OF FAITH | WIFE | MOTHER | ENTREPRENEUR | MENTOR | PHILANTHROPIST | COMMUNITY ADVOCATE

Shade Akinjaiyeju is a devoted woman of God, a loving wife, a proud mother, an entrepreneur, and a passionate advocate for empowering others to discover their purpose and fulfill their God-given potential.

As a pastor’s wife, she stands alongside her husband in faith, prayer, and ministry, sharing a deep commitment to serving Christ and drawing hearts closer to God. Her life reflects compassion, humility, generosity, and an unwavering desire to uplift those facing life’s challenges.

With a heart for mentorship and personal development, Shade has dedicated herself to helping individuals recognize their gifts, establish meaningful careers, overcome obstacles, and grow spiritually. She believes in walking alongside people through their struggles, offering encouragement, guidance, and hope until they find their footing and achieve success.

As the founder of Single Parents Peace Castle, a Christ-centered nonprofit organization, Shade is committed to restoring hope, strengthening families, and empowering single parents and their children. Through mentorship, spiritual guidance, life-skills development, education, and practical support, her vision is to help families experience healing, independence, renewed confidence, and a fresh beginning.

Guided by her faith and a genuine love for humanity, Shade continues to inspire others to rise above limitations, embrace their God-given gifts, and live purposeful, fulfilling lives.

Her Guiding Passion Is Simple: To serve God, restore hope, empower lives, and walk with others until they win.

More About Our Foundation

Faith and our programs

Our organization is Christ-centered. You can make faith a meaningful part of its identity while clearly explaining which activities are religious and ensuring that participants understand their choices. This is especially important to us because we will be seeking government grants, which may restrict how funded activities are conducted.

Our recommendation in starting the organization

We would not launch every program at once. Begin with a manageable pilot and expand after you see what families need most.

Startup checklist

.• Choose the organization’s name, vision, mission, and core values.

• Identify the specific families and age groups you intend to serve.

• Recruit a founding board and a small team of qualified mentors.

• Research Texas nonprofit incorporation, federal 501(c)(3) recognition, insurance, and safeguarding requirements.

• Find a church or community facility willing to host pilot workshops.

• Develop three introductory programs: healing and hope, computer literacy, and personal image.

• Recruit 10–15 single-parent families for an initial pilot.

• Establish a simple budget, donation plan, participant feedback process, and outcome measures.

Over time, you can measure success through participants’ confidence, completed training, employment outcomes, financial progress, and stronger family support networks.

Recommendation for SPPC'S next step

I believe the best next step is to develop a Nonprofit Foundation and Program Development Workbook for your organization. It would bring together the mission, seven pillars, individual programs, volunteer roles, training curriculum, partnerships, startup budget, fundraising ideas, and first-year implementation plan.

Before we build that foundation, I have one important question:

Will your nonprofit serve single mothers and single fathers together, or do you envision starting primarily with single mothers and their children?

This will help us design the mentoring, healing, parenting, career, and personal image programs appropriately from the beginning.

Helping single parents and their children move beyond survival and begin building stable, empowered, successful lives.
